RKN Coolcontainer

Insulated only Back to overview

This RKN container is an insulated-only cool container and is used by Thai Airways to transport their perishable goods, e.g. food , vaccines, drugs or blood plasma. Although this is a standard sized lower deck container, it’s made of high performance insulation panels which are perfectly able to withstand the environmental temperature influences air cargo can be subjected to.
The door is also made of an insulation panel with rubber extrusions around the edges to ensure air-tight closure and is equipped with a lock to secure the goods.
Additional seat track points are mounted flush to the interior floor. Straps can be attached to those seat track points, so the goods can be kept in place during transport.

More features:

  • The base is built upon a pallet which is forkliftable on all four sides.
  • The front panel is equipped with a breather valve.
  • Padlock provisions are integrated to the door lock for custom/padlock sealing.
  • Buffers are installed on the side panel to prevent the door from damaging the side panels when opened.
  • When opened, the door can be fastened to the side panel using the strap fixed to the backside of the door.
  • A grasp handle is placed on each corner for easy handling during transport.
  • Optional – Dry ice and temperature control system: the temperature can be set with a digital control unit which also stores the temperature data. All data – measured by calibrated sensors – can be exported onto a memory stick
