PZE Pallet

Aircraft engines are much more challenging to transport by air these days due to the increased size and weight of the newer engine platforms, such as the Rolls Royce Trent 1000. VRR was asked to provide a suitable certified pallet solution, including a stand. The solution also needed to allow the engine to be placed in the Cargo Loading System of the aircraft.

After an extensive engineering phase which included also multiple analysis and fit tests, VRR succeeded in getting these pallets STC certified. The PZE engine stand pallet is a sturdy base pallet that can withstand loads up to 13 tonnes. The recessed part is engine specific and allows the engines to fit through aircraft doors. The pallet is an optimised solution because it takes into consideration the available weight, height and applicable loads.
